30th October 2008 has been one of the darkest days in recent history of Assam where 18 bomb blasts took place all over Assam. It caused death of more than 77 people while injuring 470 injuries!
The bomb blasts ripped apart Guwahati, Barpeta, Bongaigaon and Kokrajhar towns in Assam. The explosions in Guwahati ripped through Pan Bazar, Fancy Bazar and Ganeshguri, which were crowded with shoppers and office goers. Three blasts occurred in Kokrajhar, with another possible grenade explosion; two in Bongaigaon and one in Barpeta.
